The Patagonia General Plan lays out two objectives for the Town relating to business growth and development:
Policy: Encourage the expansion of existing and the construction of new, compatible, locally-owned businesses.
Policy: Support tourist-based or other employment or revenue-generating locally-owned, compatible, commercial development.
We plan to achieve these objectives in several ways.
a.) We will seek out and present assistance, where appropriate, for individuals looking to grow new or existing businesses that are consistent with our vision of the Town.
b.) We will simplify and streamline our procedures and requirements to make them as business-friendly as possible, again consistent with furthering our vision of the Town as spelled out in the General Plan.
c.)We will work with partners at the local, regional and state level to make resources available to start or grow compatible businesses in Patagonia.

NOTICE
Article 14-2-A-2 of the Town Code provides that the following limited commercial uses of a residential structure are permitted as a matter of right and shall not require a use permit as described herein:
a. a licensed home occupation
While we encourage and support home occupations, please remember that you must have a business license to qualify as a legal and permitted home occupation.
